NSC is a California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Approved Trainer (Lic # P-1)
The State of California requires all in-house guards and hospitality security professionals, legally defined as Proprietary Private Security Officers (PPSOs) complete 24 hours of job-specific training as part of the PPSO licensing process.

Important
As of January 01, 2024, California requires PPSOs to complete a 5-hour Appropriate Use of Force training course in person, through a BSIS-approved trainer, in an instructor-led classroom setting to meet full licensing requirements.
NSC also offers qualifying refresher coursework to help PPSOs meet the required 8 hours of annual training needed to keep their licenses valid. Any of our individual security-specific training courses may be applied toward this annual 8-hour refresher requirement.
Insurance Requirements
This course satisfies standard insurance training requirements for hospitality security personnel and may be used to demonstrate compliance for insurance carriers.
